Responsibilities
Research and development projects directed to the development of novel filtration technologies suitable for the manufacture of therapeutic biopharmaceuticals
Apply your creativity, knowledge, and skills to tackle challenging projects
Utilize established scientific and engineering principles to address complex tasks
Collaborate cross-functionally with teams from R&D, Manufacturing, Product Management, Sales, Quality, and Procurement to advance product ideas through development and validation phases
Lead to successful commercialization
Travel both domestically and internationally, 10-30%
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science or other Engineering field with 3+ years of experience in new product development
PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, or Chemical Engineering
Preferred
2 years of experience in CAD and conducting design work using SolidWorks and/or Creo
2 years of experience in DOE for new product development
Demonstrated technical leadership and ability to solve complicated technical problems
New product development experience
Fluency in Minitab or equivalent statistical software
Experience in modeling using MATLAB or other software
Fluency in MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
R&D or manufacturing experience in filtration device making
Basic understanding of intellectual property and patent filings
Develop and maintain broad knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories through literature, conferences, and workshops
Hands-on problem solver, skilled in modern laboratory techniques and procedures
Project management experience
Good communication skills; both verbal and written
Team player who works well with all levels throughout the organization
