Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of a distributed storage service that operates at cloud scale

Range from distributed system service development in Java, to low level systems coding that interfaces directly with hardware

Bring brand new systems to production use, solving challenging computer science problems

Reduce the internal cost of migrating customer data to Glacier storage media

Effectively placing customer data for easier and faster retrievals/GC

Owning the migration pipeline from discovering customer data until generating the media-ready data units

Optimizations to migrate data fast and secure

Required

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
