Responsibilities
Process dental and medical billing and follow up with insurance carriers, including Medicare and Medicaid
Review, correct, and resolve open billing tabs from 2025 and prior years
Manage accounts receivable and ensure timely claim resolution
Communicate with insurance providers regarding claims, payments, and denials
Maintain accurate billing records and documentation in practice management systems
Support billing cleanup and reconciliation efforts across multiple service years
Qualification
Required
Dentrix or similar EMR experience is required
Medical or dental billing experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail and willingness to learn
Preferred
Experience using Athena EHR and dental practice management systems preferred
Working knowledge of QS1, accounts receivable, and PMS systems preferred
FQHC experience preferred but not required
