Responsibilities
Work with our Head of Product to architect and build reliable end-to-end distributed systems that embed AI into internal tooling, operational workflows, and product integrations
Use AI Development Agents to write clean, maintainable code and build automation layers that tie services, data pipelines, and AI agents into cohesive solutions
Integrate and optimize of advanced AI tooling (Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Code, Warp, and related systems) into engineering workflows
Build frameworks and tooling that empower others to leverage AI safely, repeatably, and effectively, across engineering, design and clinical ops
Define and enforce systems architecture, reliability standards, and best practices for observability and monitoring
Break down ambiguous, complex technical challenges into modular, extensible solutions with clear tradeoffs and execution plans
Partner with product, data, and ops teams to shape how AI-driven capabilities are scaled in a way that is compliant, auditable, and resilient
Qualification
Required
Experience in building architecture for complex systems, with substantial hands-on work with AI, automation, API integrations, SDKs and agent-first development
Comfortable with rapid iteration, ambiguity, shifting requirements, and figuring out how to build when the 'how' isn't obvious
Highly experienced with AI tooling ecosystems and employing cutting-edge thinking about how to embed them into engineering delivery and operational workflows for maximum continuous delivery
Can translate product or clinical needs into robust technical designs, and then execute on them with minimal friction
Excellent communicator who can clearly articulate tradeoffs, constraints, and opportunities to cross-functional teams
Bias toward pragmatic, data-informed decisions and a culture of rapid continuous improvement
Preferred
Experience building modular frameworks or platforms that are used by multiple teams
Background with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and modern observability tooling
General understanding of PHI security, HIPAA compliance, and governance practices in regulated industries
