Advanced Test Engineer

Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and execute test plans, test cases, and test procedures for the PCS to ensure it meets operational requirements and performance standards
Design and execute functional, integration, regression, and performance tests for hardware and software components
Perform system troubleshooting, debugging, and root cause analysis to identify and resolve defects
Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to improve test efficiency and coverage
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, systems engineers, and other test engineers, to ensure comprehensive test coverage and effective defect resolution
Document test results, track defects, generate test reports, and communicate findings to stakeholders
Develop test fixtures, equipment specifications, and diagnostic programs for new products
Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and quality assurance processes
Support field testing and validation activities as required
Support systems engineering activities including requirements analysis, system design reviews, technical documentation, and interface coordination as needed
Qualification
Required
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related Science, Technology or Mathematics field
Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire
Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required
Bachelor's or Technology degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related specialized area/field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience, plus 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree
Proven experience in software/system testing and validation, preferably within defense or aerospace industries
Strong understanding of test methodologies, test design techniques, and quality assurance best practices
Familiarity with the Payload Control System and integration within larger defense systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Preferred
Experience with advanced defense systems and combat system testing
Knowledge of various payloads and their integration
Proficiency in DOORS, automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, pytest)
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell)
Familiarity with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla)
Knowledge of Navy maintenance procedures and philosophies, especially for combat systems
Experience with systems engineering processes, requirements management, and technical documentation
