Responsibilities
Guide and empower program teams to implement Offsite Manufacturing (OSM) strategies and methodologies, integrating both client-specific and global solutions
Establish effective partnerships with crucial stakeholders, including Program teams, Project Managers, Design Managers, Global Supply Chain teams, Site & Offsite Logistics, Specification & System Owners, Central Design, Site Construction, and external suppliers, to:
Collaborate with the Supply Chain division to identify, vet, and qualify OSM vendors for the offsite fabrication of critical components
Work closely with Design teams to pinpoint project elements suitable for offsite manufacturing
Cultivate exceptional OSM supplier relationships, utilizing leading sourcing and procurement strategies to drive ongoing enhancements in project outcomes, quality, timelines, and cost efficiency
Direct logistical planning to assess the viability, return on investment (ROI), and transportation needs of potential offsite manufactured units (e.g., skids, buildings), while identifying optimal offsite sites to maximize ROI and mitigate project risks
Ensure the seamless integration of robust quality assurance and commissioning protocols across all phases of OSM, from initial design through to project handover
Spearhead and oversee diverse construction projects, leveraging OSM principles to deploy a wide range of fabrication modules across multiple initiatives, thereby supporting client business objectives
Utilize the virtual factory network to identify existing client Offsite Manufacturing (OSM) Best Known Methods (BKMs) and champion the development of new modules for the IS program
When applicable, guide engineering teams in documenting (whitepaper) and assigning part numbers to modules that can be reused or replicated for subsequent projects and programs
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience encompassing the planning, scheduling, monitoring, project management, progress updating, and reporting for medium-scale projects
A solid understanding of construction principles, facilities management, fabrication technology, quality assurance, Lean methodologies, and prefabrication techniques is highly advantageous
Extensive experience in both project and program management
Adept at navigating and managing complex relationships across diverse teams and stakeholders, always striving for optimal client-centric solutions
Demonstrated strong leadership qualities coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Proven capability to facilitate decision-making, foster seamless integration, and exert influence effectively within a highly matrixed organizational structure
Proficiency in conducting thorough cost/benefit analyses for various project methodologies and approaches
Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other data management, input, and output systems
