Responsibilities

Serve as project manager over preproduction planning for prime and support workload requirements relevant to depot maintenance
Develop and maintain statistical forecast models, leveraging historical data, market intelligence, and other relevant factors to predict future material demand accurately
Plan, organize, and oversee the activities, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and meeting customer needs
Represent the organization to installation and functional area organizations

Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft/vehicle to conferences, meetings, or functions away from the duty office/location. Travel may include overnight stays

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work is performed in a typical office setting, requiring the use of normal safety precautions necessary for an office environment. The work area is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated
Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement
Applicants must have at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-11 or equivalent in other pay systems
Specialized experience is experience in Developing and enhancing demand plans for highly complex or critical items by integrating collaborative data, production demand intelligence, and statistical forecasts/demand plans and/or generating reports detailing forecast accuracy, inventory levels, and material availability, presenting findings and recommendations to management to inform strategic decisions and/or establishing metrics and conducting analyses to assess efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with regulatory procedures
Extensive knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques for the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems concerning efficiency and effectiveness of the program and/or strategic sourcing
Knowledge in interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications related to Bills of Materials (BOMs) and parts requirements, with the ability to gather, analyze, and present supporting data and apply relevant regulations for material management
Extensive knowledge of organizational concepts, principles, and practices as related to the requirements for performance-based logistics, acquisition, supply maintenance, procurement procedures, manufacturing, strategic sourcing, and other support areas
Knowledge of the operations, services, needs, and goals of management and their program(s); the organizations studied or served, and related customers, functions, resources, and users
Ability to plan, organize work, meet deadlines, and adjust work objectives to meet emergencies or changing programs within available resources and with minimum sacrifice and quality or quantity of work; ability to establish performance goals and assess progress toward their achievement and ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
