The intern will work under senior engineers, assisting in platform development, troubleshooting, and integrating new features into custom Android builds.

Responsibilities
Contribute to Android platform development by modifying AOSP framework components and system services
Debug and resolve platform-level issues in Android builds across different device configurations
Work with native C/C++ code, Java/Kotlin framework services, and HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) implementations
Assist in porting and integrating new features into custom Android builds
Collaborate with BSP (Board Support Package) and hardware teams to ensure system stability
Participate in code reviews following AOSP contribution guidelines
Help optimize system performance, boot time, and memory usage
Document platform modifications and maintain build configurations
Qualification
Required
Bachelors in Computer Science
Must be able to commute and work on-site 5 days a week
Must be currently enrolled as a fulltime student at an accredited four-year college or university
Applicants must be authorized to work on a full-time basis for any employer in the U.S
Preferred
Colleges in the PNW (Oregon, Washington) are preferred
Students graduating from Portland High schools are also preferred
