Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation is seeking an IT Program Manager to oversee a portfolio of related projects aimed at achieving enterprise objectives. The role involves managing project teams, developing program roadmaps, and ensuring effective communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Government Administration

Responsibilities

Contributes to the development, approval, prioritization, and execution of the program roadmap. Establishes parent/child program hierarchy and manage dependencies that are either internal or external to the program
Works directly with project sponsors and stakeholders on the development, documentation and approval of formal business requirements to drive discovery and project execution requirements. Defines project scope, objectives, deliverables, required resources and budget and obtaining approval from project sponsors prior to project launch
Establishes and maintains stakeholder relationships across the enterprise and facilitate effective communication and collaboration. Develops effective and accurate program dashboards for communication to project teams and senior leadership
Plans and schedules project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools measuring program initiatives are executed per approved prioritization and that program dependencies and constraints are understood, documented and managed
Establishes and manages multiple cross-functional project teams throughout the lifecycle of each project within the program (Discovery, Initiation, Planning, Execution, Closeout)
Provides direction, training, and mentorship to junior project managers and others as it relates to program initiatives
Establishes budgets and track/manage status of project expenses through funding approval, PO commitment, invoice receipt and payment. Communicates project expense forecast and any variances
Executes repeatable PMO project methodology ensuring consistency across all projects executed within the program. Performs risk assessments, develop mitigation plans, and manage risks throughout project lifecycle
Ensures variances to project schedule, scope and budget baselines are managed and approved through formal change control processes. Ensures that impacts of changes are well understood, documented, communicated and managed
Works closely with the business, Procurement team, and vendors in communicating project requirements to drive solution and vendor selection, statement of work generation and review and contract finalization
Defines project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle. Conducts project postmortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or Engineering required
Minimum six (6) years prior experience as a Project Manager, with a demonstrated track record of delivery
Related, relevant, and/or direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational requirements indicated above
Extensive experience with Gaming and Hospitality Systems, including, but not limited to, Casino Management Systems, Point of Sale Systems, Property Management Systems, Promotional/Marketing Systems, and other industry-specific systems preferred
Embraces customer service as a key driver of success, anticipates and demonstrates understanding of internal and external customer needs and strives to exceed their expectations
Takes the initiative to create personalized customer solutions for complex service issues and seeks assistance if needed; follows-up to ensure a positive overall customer experience
Makes decisions with the best interests of Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation in mind having the information and resources, to act thoughtfully, quickly, professionally and with confidence
Demonstrates awareness of non-verbal language when listening and communicating with others, conveys and writes information clearly, professionally and effectively
Confidently and professionally articulates information in a way that can be understood by multiple individuals at different levels with varying needs
Demonstrates initiative and accountability to drive results in order to achieve individual and organizational goals
At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license
No Driving Responsibilities: Role does not require a driver's license or insurance

Preferred

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, preferred
ITIL (Foundation or higher) certification, preferred
Scrum Master certification, preferred
