Responsibilities

Develop and refine machine learning models to automatically detect and classify artifacts in radio communications used in aerospace applications
Design and implement algorithms and feature engineering techniques to identify statistical signatures in bit streams
Establish a robust testing framework with performance metrics to validate the accuracy of detection
Develop a Python library containing models and thorough documentation for identification
Implement computer vision approaches for trajectory visualization and pattern recognition in aerospace communications
Develop machine learning models to predict missing parameters and identify flight behaviors based on communication data
Create an interactive analysis toolkit with specialized applications for aircraft tracking and performance analysis
Provide clear and detailed documentation for all developed models, algorithms, and tools
Conduct rigorous testing and validation of all implemented solutions to ensure reliability and accuracy
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, data scientists, and domain experts, to integrate solutions into existing systems
Prepare and present regular progress reports and findings to stakeholders
Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and aerospace communication to continuously improve project outcomes

Required

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Basic proficiency in Python and a willingness to learn and improve
Familiarity with MATLAB or similar software and a willingness to learn
Interest in computer vision and visualization techniques
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Good analytical and critical thinking abilities
Effective communication skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Preferred

Prior experience or coursework in machine learning, signal processing, or aerospace communication is a plus
Enthusiasm for learning and applying new technologies
Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred, but not required
Previous internship/co-op or other work experience
