Responsibilities
Design and develop code for new Capability Items (CIs)
Investigate and resolve Problem Trouble Reports (PTRs)
Collaborate with other functional areas to support PTR investigations
Ensure PCS operates in SELinux enforcing mode
Mentor and assist junior engineers in their technical development
Lead and facilitate the SWFTS functional area Problem Trouble Report Board (PTRB)
Assign and manage SWFTS-related PTRs across team members
Review work products to ensure PTRB acceptability and quality standards
Monitor SWFTS Jira for new PTRs, assess PCS impact, and maintain cross-Jira traceability
Actively participate in SWFTS Middleware and Messaging Working Groups
Author Functional Design Documents (FDDs) and collaborate with government stakeholders to resolve comments
Review test procedures for accuracy, completeness, and requirements coverage
Prepare SWFTS Baseline Change Requests to document inter-subsystem interface changes resulting from new or deprecated PCS functionality
Serve as primary point of contact between PCS and external subsystems for program interfaces
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field
5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire
U.S. citizenship is required
