$70K/yr - $70K/yrAkkodis is seeking several motivated Entry-Level Systems Test Engineers to join their Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) Engineering Lab, supporting a major domestic vehicle manufacturer in the Detroit Metro area. The role involves contributing to test setups, system integration, automation, and validation of complex automotive components while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and performance.

Responsibilities
Assist in setting up and configuring Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) test benches for vehicle system validation
Support the design, integration, and troubleshooting of HiL systems, including ADAS, powertrain, and chassis subsystems
Conduct system-level testing, analyzing CAN messages, verifying end-of-line functionality, and ensuring seamless software integration
Work with automation teams to enhance test efficiency through scripting and test automation
Collaborate with feature owners and test engineers to execute test cases, analyze results, and document issues
Assist in data collection, analysis, and reporting to support engineering decisions
Gain exposure to tools like CANalyzer, CANoe, dSPACE, MATLAB/Simulink, and HiL simulation platforms
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering OR electronics engineering is required
Knowledge of automotive systems, embedded software, and control systems
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn
Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Preferred
Familiarity with CAN communication protocols and diagnostic tools (CANalyzer, CANoe, etc.) is a plus
Exposure to HiL simulations and tools like dSPACE, NI VeriStand, or Vector tools is beneficial
Basic programming or scripting knowledge (Python, MATLAB, or C++) is a plus
