They are seeking a Quality Control Intern to implement the QA/QC program for batching, mixing and delivery of ready-mixed concrete, ensuring compliance with project specifications and customer expectations.

Responsibilities
Calibrate production and testing equipment
Sample and test raw materials for specification compliance
Perform QC tests for: entrained air content, slump/workability, coarseness/sandiness, yield, setting time, water-cement ratio and strength
Record and report test results to dispatch, batch personnel and the customer
Use test results to make mix adjustments
Troubleshoot fresh/hardened concrete problems
Conduct periodic informative programs for drivers, batch personnel, etc
Compliance with job description addendum
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED
Must have a college degree or work towards one
Good oral/written communications skills
Ability to use a scientific calculator
Capable of making quick and responsible decisions in a fast-paced environment
Valid driver's license
ACI Field and State Plant and Field certifications or willing to attain after hired
Able to lift 100 lbs. and climb up and down the ready-mix trucks
Preferred
