The Co-op in Mechanical Lifecycle Engineering will work with cross-functional teams on projects related to manufacturing processes, root cause investigation, and process improvements, while gaining hands-on experience in the medical device industry.

Responsibilities
Work hands on with lab equipment (Instron, Pressure Transducers, OGP, High Speed Camera, etc.) to aid Root Cause Analysis activities
Design test procedures, 3D printed fixtures, perform custom tests, and analyze data to support tool qualifications and design enhancements
Project Lead for at least one root causing / process improvement initiative
Improve internal processes (data analysis, work flow systems, etc.) by automating tasks and standardizing methods using applicable software skills (VBA, etc.)
Application of Six Sigma & Lean manufacturing concepts
Assist/Lead Engineering Change Orders to improve product design
Performs other duties as required
Up to 5% Travel to local suppliers as needed
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate mechanical, industrial, or bio-engineering program
3.0 GPA or better
Lab Testing using relevant equipment
Lifting up to 40 lbs
Work hands on with lab equipment (Instron, Pressure Transducers, OGP, High Speed Camera, etc.) to aid Root Cause Analysis activities
Design test procedures, 3D printed fixtures, perform custom tests, and analyze data to support tool qualifications and design enhancements
