Assistant Traffic Study Engineer
The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is looking for a motivated individual with a desire to improve processes in the Traffic and Safety Division. You will be responsible for coordinating the Department's Traffic Studies, Traffic Engineering Orders (TEOs), and Project Safety Analyses (PSAs) programs.

Responsibilities
Track and organize traffic studies, TEOs, and PSAs
Process consultant invoices, request fund transfers, and track expenditures
Schedule meetings with multiple stakeholders for field reviews
Perform records management duties for Traffic & Safety
Obtain annual state certification
Coordinate with State Archives and agency records officers
Serve as the point-of-contact for public records requests
Take notes during Road Safety Audits, as needed
Qualification
Required
Candidates must be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Utah
Candidates who aren't licensed in Utah must obtain a license before their start date; otherwise, they may be hired at Level II until licensure is obtained
A Bachelor's degree, or higher, in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline
Proof of passing the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE)
At least two years of post-graduate engineering experience (A Master's degree Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline may be substituted for one year of the required experience)
Preferred
Preference may be given to those with traffic engineering study experience or program management experience
