Senior Manufacturing Engineer
Synerfac Technical Staffing is looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for a manufacturer in Maricopa County. This role leads complex process development and continuous improvement initiatives across electronics and battery product lines, working closely with production operators to optimize manufacturing processes and enhance product quality.

Responsibilities
Coordinate with manufacturing supervisors to design, develop, and continuously improve manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, repeatability, and compliance with AS9100 quality standards
Design and implement production tooling, jigs, and fixtures to support precision assembly and machining operations
Provide daily technical support to manufacturing operations, troubleshooting issues related to equipment, process variation, or nonconforming parts
Collaborates with Quality, Production and Supply Chain teams to lead initiatives that reduce waste, improve workflow, and increase production throughput using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
Analyze manufacturing costs, identify cost drivers, and recommend process improvements or automation to enhance efficiency
Lead Root-Cause-Corrective Action investigations and implement RCCAs as needed
Act as technical leader in improving documentation of current and new manufacturing processes
Lead the transition of new products from engineering development to manufacturing release including process validation and tooling readiness
Initiate engineering change requests and implement engineering change orders
Partner with operations leadership to develop long-term manufacturing strategies aligned with business goals, capacity requirements, and technology roadmaps
Mentor junior engineers and technicians, promoting technical excellence, knowledge transfer, and professional development across the operations team
Champion a data-driven culture by utilizing process data, statistical analysis, and optimize digital manufacturing tools to identify trends, optimize processes, and justify capital investments
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Aerospace or Manufacturing Engineering
5-7 years of progressive manufacturing engineering experience in the aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industry
Experience with new product introduction
Experience developing process routings, work instructions, and PFMEAs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with team members at all levels of the organization
Preferred
Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Aerospace or Manufacturing Engineering
Experience in an Operations/Manufacturing leadership program within an S&P500 organization
Certifications in Lean Six Sigma methodology
Prior aerospace manufacturing experience
Experience with robotics and process automation
Prior CAD design experience
