General Manager, HMA & GMA National Dealer Network Development

Responsibilities

Works in collaboration with National & Regional Field teams toward attaining targeted incremental sales goals for Hyundai & Genesis in accord with the National Dealer Network Strategy toward attaining MTP
Identifies, engages and coordinates with current and prospective dealers to facilitate and support negotiations between perspective parties and optimize network representation via facility actions, relocations, and other various network activates
Identifies & meets with perspective dealer candidates, current dealers and Regional representatives to optimize network configurations and ownership consolidation
Collaborates and executes on priorities and interests for Hyundai & Genesis in nationally identified key priority markets to drive increased sales based established Market Studies
Supports deals that are in the best interest of HMA & GMA
Presents dealership changes to Dealer Network Committee comprised of HMA & GMA Senior Executive Officers to approve and authorize Hyundai & Genesis commitments
Provides regional support to Market Representation issues providing coaching and counseling to Dealership owners and regional management
May recommend termination of dealer relationships and support legal actions to achieve desired results
Routinely reviews sales results and evaluates contributions made through the network changes
Analysis improvements and market studies that may influence future strategy and actions
Incorporates new knowledge and research into future changes
Acts as primary field SME on specific network strategies
Managers all required negotiations for major support, network lifecycle management and other major DND actions
Works with Legal and Finance representatives to ensure that legal and financial documents accurately reflect expectations, commitments and obligations of Dealers and HMA/GMA
Coordinated work with real estate representatives who assist with identification of real estate locations
Maintains documentation of HMA and GMA obligations and ensures that commitments are executed according to agreements
Meets with potential new dealers to develop a positive image of HMA and GMA brands and company
Establishes Market Representation policy and procedure
Establishes channel management priorities
Establishes facility program
Responsible for implementation of long term network strategy
Approves or rejects dealer application packages
Prioritizes HMFC floor plan applications
Apprises or rejects dealer enhancement request
Responsible for dealer performance standards
Establishes departmental budgets

Qualification

Required

Must be a high school graduate
Fifteen or more years of wholesale automotive experience including five years in positions relating to market analysis and dealer representation planning and placement
Seven or more years of senior level experience with OEM field background
Strong analytical skills
Strong people relationship and management skills
Ability to deliver complex projects on time and within budgetary guidelines
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Ability to collaborate with people at all levels of the organization
Ability to manage budgets, payments and schedules
Knowledge of business operations and the ability to recognize the dealership locations and management that will maximize the potential sales markets for Hyundai and Genesis

Preferred

Bachelor's degree preferred
Master's degree a plus
Supervisory experience is preferred
