Responsibilities
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to support and grow the business
Lead financial analysis for assigned areas, prepare and present monthly results to management, and collaborate cross-functionally on complex business issues impacting forecasts and financial performance
Apply strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, including ASC 606 revenue recognition
Perform general ledger postings, support sales tax reporting, internal and external audits, and payroll accounting for a large employee population
Ensure accurate accounting and reporting for a minimum of 45 individual income statements, demonstrating a high level of attention to detail
Lead the monthly close process for assigned areas, including account reconciliations and review of monthly financial reporting packages in compliance with Corporate Accounting Policies and Procedures (CAPP)
Assist with the management and administration of financial systems and processes
Lead the identification, implementation, and validation of procedural changes, and update Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) documentation to reflect changes impacting internal controls
Drive process improvements using technology and innovative solutions to increase efficiency and conserve resources
Direct and oversee shared services activities in accordance with standard work instructions
Monitor key operational metrics, perform root cause analysis, and develop corrective action plans as needed
Champion Oshkosh’s People First competencies by actively engaging, developing, and connecting team members
Identify, support, and lead continuous improvement initiatives using Continuous Improvement Management System (CIMS) tools and concepts, and perform advanced financial analysis in assigned business areas
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
Four (4) or more years of related experience in accounting, finance, or treasury
Ability to travel 10%
Preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Familiarity with U.S. and international accounting regulations
