Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain large-scale Python applications integrating ML and LLM models
Utilize popular Python modules (e.g., NumPy, Pandas) for data processing and analysis
Conduct performance analysis to identify memory leaks and ensure scalability in multi-threaded environments
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices
Use Git or Bitbucket for version control and collaborate using Visual Studio Code
Integrate with PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases using SQL
Implement and maintain security best practices, including authentication and authorization
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems
Resolve production outages and issues by analyzing Splunk logs and Dynatrace
Apply scaled agile practices and update user stories in Kanban/Sprint boards

To qualify for the 2210 IT Specialist series, the applicant must demonstrate the following competencies: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, Problem Solving
Minimum Qualifications: Grade 14 - At least 52 weeks of specialized experience at the GS-13 level, or equivalent, which includes designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale Python applications integrating machine learning (ML) and large language models (LLMs); utilizing popular Python modules (e.g., NumPy, Pandas) for data processing and analysis; conducting performance analysis to identify memory leaks and ensure scalability in multi-threaded environments; collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features; writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code following Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices; using Git or Bitbucket for version control and collaborating with team members using Visual Studio Code; integrating PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases using SQL; implementing and maintaining security best practices, including authentication and authorization; participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedback to team members; troubleshooting, debugging, and upgrading existing systems; resolving production outages and issues by analyzing Splunk logs and Dynatrace; applying scaled agile practices and updating user stories in Kanban/Sprint boards
Minimum Qualifications: Grade 15 - 52 weeks of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 level or above, which includes leading the design, development, and maintenance of large-scale Python applications integrating machine learning (ML) and large language models (LLMs); providing expert guidance in utilizing popular Python modules (e.g., NumPy, Pandas) for advanced data processing and analysis; conducting and overseeing performance analysis to identify memory leaks and ensure scalability in multi-threaded environments; collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features; writing and reviewing clean, maintainable, and efficient code following Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices; managing version control using Git or Bitbucket; architecting and integrating PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases using advanced SQL techniques; implementing and maintaining security best practices; leading code reviews; troubleshooting, debugging, and upgrading existing systems; applying scaled agile practices; demonstrating advanced proficiency in developing large-scale, scalable, multi-threaded Python applications; architecting solutions using Amazon Web Services (AWS) and other cloud platforms; integrating ML and LLM models into production applications
