Responsibilities

Assists and participates in the development of policies, legislative proposals, plans, programs, budget, and guidance for all functional areas and responsibilities assigned to the office as well as for the overall Reserve Integration portfolio
Provides program policy and curriculum oversight to ensure policy standardization, implementation, and recurring review of all DoW Civil Military Programs to include the Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC), National Guard Youth Challenge Program (NGYCP), DoW STARBASE Program, and the DoW Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) Program
Maintains continuous liaison through correspondence, conferences, staff visits, and field activity inspections with Service and Reserve Component staff and command officials
Reviews and delivers briefings on Service program budget and funding documents. Works collaboratively with the OUSW (Comptroller), Washington Headquarter Services, and their respective budget and accounting systems to develop overall CMP budget documents and draft legislative proposals

This position is subject to the DoD Priority Placement Program
The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
This position may require up to 15% of occasional travel away from the normal duty station for official business on military or commercial aircraft
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service that demonstrates your ability in: 1) Reviewing and evaluating policies, plans and programs for Civil Military Programs; 2) Creating plans of action, milestones and methods of evaluating the effectiveness of the plan; and 3) Applying knowledge of the Planning, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) process
