The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is offering an opportunity for a professional Accountant 1 with experience in inventory management. The role involves ensuring accurate accounting of the agency's physical inventory for its retail stores and working closely with various departments to monitor and analyze inventory transactions.

Responsibilities
Monitoring inventory transactions for all assigned stores
Reviewing and monitoring retail in-store adjustments to ensure the accurate accounting of adjusted inventory
Working with purchasing and warehouse personnel to identify, locate, and dispose of obsolete, damaged, expired, or spoiled inventory
Developing inventory analysis reports and analyze variances
Working with operations, supply chain, and warehouse personnel to identify gaps in inventory and review various cycle counts to reconcile transaction errors for assigned stores
Qualification
Required
Successful completion of the Commonwealth's Accounting Intern Program; or
One year as a Financial Programs Trainee; or
One year as a Fiscal Technician, and fifteen college credits in accounting; or
Five years of Bookkeeping experience and fifteen college credits in accounting; or
A Bachelor's Degree including or supplemented by fifteen credits in accounting
Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree
You must meet the PA residency requirement
You must be able to perform essential job functions
You must pass a background investigation
