Healthy LifeStars® is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to ending childhood obesity through scalable, sustainable programs. They are seeking a motivated Mid-Western Program Coordinator to support and strengthen program delivery across Mid-Western states, focusing on the Columbus, Ohio metro area.

Responsibilities

Support the onboarding and coordination of schools, afterschool programs, and youth-serving organizations
Conduct outreach to prospective program partners and share information about The LifeStar® Challenge
Assist with securing site agreements and ensuring successful program launch and implementation
Provide ongoing implementation support and light coaching to program sites
Conduct regular site visits to build relationships and support program fidelity
Track and report basic program metrics in coordination with the national office
Share insights and feedback to inform continuous program improvement
Represent Healthy LifeStars® at local education events, conferences, and community gatherings as needed
Build and maintain positive relationships with school leaders, educators, nonprofit partners, and community stakeholders
Serve as a local ambassador for Healthy LifeStars® and its mission
Assist with community-based events celebrating student participation and program milestones (event support is periodic and seasonal, not ongoing)
Provide limited support for fundraising or cultivation events as requested (e.g., Step Up for Kids™ or local engagement activities)
Support additional program-related duties as outlined by the National Program Director or Executive Director

Required

Enthusiastic self-starter with a passion for youth health and the Healthy LifeStars® mission
2–3 years of relevant experience in education, youth services, nonprofit programming, or community engagement
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage tasks independently
Comfortable communicating with educators, school leaders, and community partners
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally
Ability to work remotely with reliable internet and phone access
