HSSE Training Coordinator

Stantec is a global leader in sustainable engineering, architecture, and environmental consulting. They are seeking an HSSE Training Coordinator to support the creation and development of HSSE training courses and materials, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal policies.

Responsibilities

Develop new central HSSE (online and facilitated) training content using industry accepted instructional design and adult learning principles
Work with HSSE operations teams to support and guide the development of regional and/or business-level training as needed
Update and maintain central HSSE training programs and courses as needed in accordance with regulatory, regional, and business-specific requirements
Identify gaps and develop learning objectives and specifications for new and existing courses
Maintain working knowledge of Stantec HSSE programs, policies and procedures
Assist in troubleshooting courses and learner experience issues in partnership with Stantec Learning & Organizational Development (L&OD) teams
Assist in quality review process for course development, including translated materials
Edit and produce videos to supplement or support training development
Coordinate with internal facilitator pool and manage yearly schedule for facilitated HSSE Safer Together/ Supervisor courses
Collaborate with Stantec L&OD team on course development and implementation into Learning Management System (LMS) and facilitate communication between HSSE and L&OD teams internally
Connect with established external training vendors to address issues or questions as needed

Required

Understanding of adult learning and behavioral science principles and ability to incorporate into learning content design
Project management skills with the ability to support multiple course development efforts or projects concurrently, demonstrating ability to prioritize effectively and deliver high quality training solutions
Ability to identify and build course learning objectives and outcomes for a variety of learner audiences and stakeholders
Effectively incorporate learner and stakeholder feedback into training improvements and revisions
Proficiency in instructional design and eLearning authoring tools, principally Articulate Storyline
Effective use of Microsoft Office tools for collaboration, scheduling and training storyboard development, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of two years of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and related experience

Preferred

HSSE or occupational safety knowledge and experience is a plus
