Responsibilities
Performs analysis applying appropriate scientific and engineering processes and modeling techniques
Performs analysis and trade-off studies related to operational issues, and reviewing test planning documents to ensure MOEs address operational requirements
Interfaces with Operational Test & Evaluation Force to ensure M&S will address System Effectiveness requirements
Ensure the Validation testing of a federation of high-fidelity models represents the Navy combat systems live fire performance data
Perform analysis using scientific test and analysis techniques, conduct trade-off studies related to operational issues, and review test plans to ensure they meet operational requirements
Develop Test Objectives (TOs), Measures of Effectiveness (MOEs), and Measures of Performance (MOPs)
Collaborates with a team of M&S engineers to develop tailored TestBed solutions
Coordinate with multiple Program and PAPM stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field, or demonstrated years of experience
Active Secret clearance required
5+ years of Navy experience in modeling and simulation
In-depth knowledge of Navy combat systems and related M&S tools and methodologies is highly advantageous
Demonstrated experience in the design, integration, and implementation of M&S products, particularly with AEGIS or SSDS ship or shore-based systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues within simulation models to meet end performance
Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
Preferred
Operational Test and Evaluation Force (OTF or COTF) background preferred
Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE) and Integrated Evaluation Framework (IEF)
Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies and Atlassian tools such as Confluence and Jira
