Responsibilities

Partner with Product to develop realistic roadmaps for development teams, balancing the needs of the project work with other competing priorities
Collaborate with business owners and managers across the organization to identify automation opportunities, assess feasibility, and implement Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions to enhance efficiency and save time
Orchestrate cross functional dependencies, risks, and ensure successful delivery of multi-year programs
Leverage technical background to assist development teams to mature and deliver on commitments
Effectively deliver on parallel initiatives
Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in cloud technologies, distributed microservices, automation and full stack systems to create solutions that help meet the needs
Proficiency and experience developing large scale distributed mobile and web platforms leveraging cross platform technologies
Stay on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal and external technology communities, mentoring other members of the engineering community, and from time to time, be asked to code or evaluate code
Contribute as a senior engineer within a product team designing, developing and maintaining quality technology solutions for a product or set of products including developing own subject matter expertise
Mentor staff of engineers in both technical and soft skills to craft a team of highly technically competent, consistent, thoughtful and customer centric technology experts
This includes ensuring the group is adhering to principles of engineering excellence within their technical domain, applying consistency of technical execution, sharing common practices and challenges within the group and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning within the organization
Work with key stakeholders to efficiently and effectively allocate the team members to product teams to meet business and Product area objectives
Partner with the business to have a clear understanding of how the technology stack is tied to business outcomes
Oversee testing and test automation processes, ensuring robust, efficient, and scalable solutions that enhance software quality and accelerate delivery
Hire, retain and lead high-functioning, diverse group of engineering professionals, establishing clear objectives and key results, developing consistent set of practices and process across the team, and driving towards resolution of challenging problems
This includes all performance management aspects of leading the engineers including acquiring and providing 360 feedback and administering reviews

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field (U.S. or foreign equiv.)
Must have 10 years of experience in same or related occupation
The 10 years of experience must include the following: (a) 5 years of experience with Engineering People Leadership and Development or related; (b) 2 years of experience with automation, monitoring, and log analysis tools to manage operations; (c) 4 years of experience with mobile and web platform technologies such as Flutter, Xamarin, Java or C#, Spring or .NET frameworks, MVC, REST web services, Javascript frameworks, HTML and CSS; (d) 4 years of experience with automation tools and technologies such as Selenium, Appium, Postman, JMeter, and similar frameworks; (e) 2 years of working experience in Scrum methodologies with detailed insight into Agile processes and ceremonies; (f) 3 years of experience with knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations; (g) 3 years of experience in leading and managing an engineering team to build and operate cloud services in a public cloud platform
