Database Administrator
WOOD Federal Solutions is seeking a Database Administrator to support a large, complex, fast-paced operational program in Maryland. This role is responsible for maintaining the integrity, security, and availability of mission-critical databases supporting government operations.

Responsibilities
Perform daily database administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of system databases and replication issues
Monitor database performance and memory utilization using standard monitoring tools
Perform system updates and Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert patching
Troubleshoot and resolve database performance, availability, and integrity issues
Execute database recovery actions and support disaster recovery activities
Modify existing database scripts and develop new scripts to support recurring database needs
Develop and execute SQL queries for routine and ad hoc data requests
Support transition and ingestion of legacy data
Translate requirements and data into usable database schemas
Create, update, and maintain queries, scripts, and macros to manipulate and organize data
Recommend database design and implementation practices that optimize performance of GOTS and COTS systems
Assist in developing database structures aligned with overall system architecture
Support development of database parsers, loading software, and related tooling as required
Qualification
Required
5 years of experience in database administration
Strong Oracle database administration experience
U.S. Citizenship
Active TS/SCI Security Clearance with a Polygraph
Ability to operate effectively in a high-availability environment
