Responsibilities
Guide on the best CockroachDB architecture for their implementation
Assess the current state of CockroachDB performance
Perform performance tuning and suggest methods to fix performance issues
Make application architecture recommendations
Model improvements to enhance performance
Be hands-on with SQL and troubleshooting, checking clusters and indexes
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 5 years of experience, ideally 8+ years, with a background in other database platforms before moving to CockroachDB
Must be a CockroachDB Subject Matter Expert (SME) who can fix systems, improve performance, and provide guidance
Strong communication skills are essential to explain concepts and push methodologies
Candidates should be comfortable with both architect-level responsibilities and hands-on engineering tasks
