Responsibilities
Design and develop high-quality, testable, and scalable software solutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across R&D and product management to ensure timely and successful delivery
Participate in project scoping, scheduling, and progress tracking; proactively identifying, reporting, and resolving blockers
Ensure code quality and reliability through comprehensive testing (unit, integration, regression), automation, and ownership across the software lifecycle
Contribute to technical documentation and provide support to internal and external users through clear APIs, examples, and collaboration with technical writers
Embrace continuous improvement and innovation in tools, processes, and code quality
Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization’s secure software development goals
Work independently on well-scoped problems while collaborating closely with senior engineers

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related quantitative field
Minimum 2 years of experience in software development
Experience working with programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, Rust or C/C++
Demonstrated proficiency in C
Experience utilizing SQL to query, analyze, and manipulate data across relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server)
Strong understanding of concepts related to data structures, and programming practices
Clear understanding of the product development life cycle and project management
Strong ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with all levels of staff
Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and change direction quickly
Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications
Preferred
Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Stay current with emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices, applying this knowledge to strengthen our platforms
Ability to work independently as part of a team while mentoring younger team members
Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
Experience working with Git
Basic understanding of Linux
Knowledge of cloud technologies and experience in AWS, Azure, or GCP
Experience with SAS products, solutions, and programming language
