Responsibilities
Manages the processes and protocols relating to a community-focused philanthropic office with Cedars-Sinai. Creates sustainable and effective approach to community benefit for Cedars-Sinai by overseeing sponsorships, health system partnerships and clinical division, grants management and supporting cross-portfolio and high impact grantmaking
Maintains and directs a best-in-class community benefit giving program in concert with community benefit leadership and CBGO staff, supervises and advises grants management and sponsorship staff while supporting grantmaking through reviewing funding and evaluation major grant initiatives. Responsible for review and approval support for grants up to $100,000
Manages team members and consultants related to partnership, sponsorship, and grants management initiatives as well as for ongoing administrative responsibilities. Trains and develops team members related in both subject matter expertise and professional skill development
Oversees funding and grant management processes for grantmaking, including refinement of application and reporting processes, database management, the use of data for evaluation and decision making, and annual budget and strategy planning. Supports Senior Grants Manager in buildout and development of grants management database systems
Manages health system grantmaking, including CSMH and other partners
Supports management of the internal and external profile of Cedars-Sinai’s institutional giving in alignment with organizational priorities and needs
Develops and fosters relationships among grantees, community partners, and the grantmaking community as well as stewards relationships with health system partners related to sponsorship and grantmaking processes
Supports Executive Director as needed in management of Program Officers across all aspects of major programmatic grants, including proposal development, reporting, communication, recruitment, approval, evaluation, and program implementation
Serves as a member of the CBGO leadership team
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Business Administration or a related field of study is required
A minimum of 8 years of Experienced in Academic, non-profit, corporate, or consulting environment
Knowledge of Healthcare field and understanding of grant making best practices required
Preferred
Master's in MPH, MBA, MPP, MHA, or a related field of study preferred
