Assistant Professor or Associate Professor, Electrical & Computer Engineering

The University of Central Florida (UCF) is seeking visionary scholars in the area of RF and Microwave Circuits and Systems for a full-time, tenure-earning assistant professor or tenured associate professor position. The successful candidate will lead innovation in high-frequency electronics, contribute to high-quality teaching, and collaborate across disciplines to strengthen UCF’s leadership in electromagnetics and circuit design.

Responsibilities

Lead innovation in high-frequency electronics—ranging from 5G/6G communications and IoT to specialized RF systems for spaceborne and extreme-environment applications
Leverage UCF’s proximity to the aerospace and defense industries to bridge the gap between academic research and the burgeoning commercial space industry
Shape the future workforce by training and mentoring the next generation of engineers through comprehensive undergraduate and graduate programs
Contribute to high-quality teaching at all levels and collaborate across disciplines to strengthen UCF’s global leadership in electromagnetics and circuit design

Qualification

Required

Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in electrical engineering, or other closely related disciplines at the time of appointment
Applicants must have a strong research track record supported by quality publications
To be eligible for appointment as a tenured associate professor upon hire, the selected candidate must have a demonstrated record of teaching, research, and service commensurate with a tenured faculty appointment at the rank of associate professor

Preferred

Past work experience in academia with strong funding record is desirable
A demonstrated record of teaching/training experience is of interest
