Responsibilities
Oversee 1st shift pharmacy operations to ensure safe, accurate dispensing and high-quality patient care
Verify, prepare, and dispense prescription medications in compliance with legal and clinical standards
Oversee non-sterile compounding activities and ensure documentation and procedures meet regulatory expectations
Provide patient counseling on prescription and OTC medications, including usage, precautions, and potential side effects
Supervise and support pharmacy technicians during 1st shift operations
Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve therapy questions, insurance issues, and potential drug interactions
Qualification
Required
Licensed Pharmacist
Pharmacy degree: BS Pharmacy or PharmD
Active Pharmacist license in the state of Alabama
Experience or strong interest in non-sterile compounding
Strong regulatory knowledge and commitment to compliance
Ability to lead and support pharmacy technicians
Strong attention to detail, communication, and leadership skills
