10+ years expOnward Engineering is currently looking for an experienced Public Works Construction Inspector to staff existing and upcoming public works inspection positions with clients in Southern California. The candidate will act as the construction inspector on a variety of public works projects and must coordinate the work of the Contractor while ensuring compliance with contract documents and safety regulations.

Responsibilities
Drafting production and coordination
Ensure work done by the Contractor is in compliance with contract documents
Coordinate inspections with OE personnel and appropriate client departments
Verify that materials are in accordance with contract documents
Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations
Insure proper placement and maintenance of signs, barricades and warning devices
Sampling and performing field tests for quality assurance
Generate and file necessary documents pertaining to construction progress including:
Daily Reports
Weekly Statement of Working Days
Monthly pay estimates and job expenditures
Stipulate corrections and repairs necessary before final acceptance is made
Assist in preparation of final as-built plans and reports
Qualification
Required
Minimum 10 years of experience as a public works inspector
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred
QSP/QSD Certification
Knowledge of Caltrans Specifications
