Responsibilities

Serve as a Business Analysts for projects, applications and technologies within Protection New Business and Underwriting
Directly support the overall Underwriting organization with a focus on our Platform Modernization
Role includes gathering, synthesizing and documenting business requirements, rules configurations and UAT testing requirements
Must be able to work in a dynamic, matrixed organization, bringing together the perspectives of many and the End-to-End requirements across the customer experience for business sign-off and implementation
Document business requirements with detailed technical specifications
Understand process flows and ensure interconnectivity of systems and applications
Act as a liaison between Underwriting and other teams and advocate for necessary changes
Translate customer and employee needs into documented, actionable solutions with clear measurement mechanisms in service of business outcomes
Provide proper documentation for the Product team to prioritize features and enhancements against a prioritization framework
Support Business owner, Product Manager and peers to align requirements to roadmaps
Proactively identify opportunities to improve business processes by maintaining a strong knowledge of available and upcoming features delivered by external vendors
Update procedural and processes changes
Ensure development outputs meet business expectations by maintaining strong cross-functional relationships with technical and architecture teams
Keep change management principles in mind, to work with the team to establish launch readiness in response to system and process updates
Work independently and with management on highly visible, divisional/cross-divisional complex products and projects
Be sought as a key resource for documentation of unique or complex business problems
Drive continuous improvement and efficiencies beyond own scope of responsibility

Required

Bachelor's degree
7+ years' experience supporting projects and driving execution of complex technical work
Business Analyst experience for Underwriting systems
Understanding of Waterfall and Agile processes and documentation
Strong requirements documentation skills
Ability to drill down from the big picture to process details
Ability to think strategically
Ability to collaborate across diverse teams and organizations

Preferred

Individual who enjoys solving complex problems and improving team processes
Lide underwriting knowledge
Exposure to customer experience/user experience practices
Proven ability to partner with cross-functional teams to design, configure, test, and deploy
Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing business priorities
Experience with additional requirements tools including JIRA and Confluence
