Responsibilities
Develop and execute exploration programs, including mapping and drilling
Oversee field activities, including electrical logging, limited core logging, sampling, and data interpretation
Ensure strict adherence to environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards and regulatory compliance
Manage staff, geologists, and contractors, providing mentorship and performance evaluation
Control project costs, timelines, and prepare reports on results for stakeholders
Maintain relationships with government, communities, and Indigenous communities
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor of Science in Geological Sciences or a related field is required
A minimum of 8 years in the industry, preferably with at least 2 years in a leadership role
Strong field skills and experience along with a basic understanding of geophysics
Strong technical proficiency in GIS and 3D modeling software
Strong leadership capabilities
Excellent communication skills
Preferred
A Master's degree is beneficial
Prefer a background in sedimentary, stratigraphy, fluvial systems, hydrology or reservoir engineering
Registration as a Professional Geologist (P.Geo.) or equivalent is typically preferred
