They are seeking a highly motivated Automation Engineer Intern to gain hands-on experience with Linux and Red Hat products, contributing to cybersecurity by automating security compliance and system management.

Responsibilities
Develop, test, and implement Ansible playbooks with the Ansible Automation Platform (AAP)
Perform Linux system administration, including content and patch management using Red Hat Satellite
Manage users, hosts, and security policies within Red Hat Identity Management (IdM)
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the Linux environment
Create clear work instructions and documentation for automation processes
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their requirements and build effective solutions
Review the Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) jobs and dashboard to check the status of any scheduled jobs from the previous night. Investigate and document any failures
Work on low priority issues, examples could include adding a new user to IdM or troubleshooting playbook/system errors
Document processes. This could involve writing a step-by-step guide for running a new Ansible playbook or updating a work instruction for a Satellite task
Continue development on an assigned Ansible playbook. This involves writing YAML code, testing and committing changes to a Git repository
Assist in ensuring software packages, security patches, and errata from the Red Hat Content Delivery Network (CDN) are synced in Satellite and available for systems
Build an automated task that can push required system configurations to systems on a periodic interval to ensure systems are set to a determined baseline
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology or a related field
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and have at least one semester or quarter of school remaining after the internship
Currently maintains or can quickly obtain a CompTIA Security+CE certification
A foundational understanding of the Linux command line
Basic knowledge of container management tools (Podman/Docker)
Experience with GitLab and Git
Familiarity with a scripting language (python or bash) or YAML is a plus
The ARC Internship Program requires possession or ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance
