Senior Compliance Engineer

They are seeking a Senior Compliance Engineer to lead compliance strategy for various client programs, advising on regulatory requirements and ensuring products meet certification standards.

Responsibilities

Lead compliance strategy for hardware, energy, and connected product programs
Advise on EMC/EMI, safety, radio, and regulatory requirements (FCC, CE, UL readiness, etc.)
Perform early design reviews to identify regulatory risk before it becomes rework
Define certification roadmaps, timelines, and lab strategies
Partner with product and engineering teams to translate regulatory requirements into design constraints
Manage testing plans, lab coordination, and certification workflows
Support supplier and component compliance risk assessments
Create clear documentation, compliance matrices, and regulatory readiness packages for customers, investors, and partners
Act as a trusted advisor to founders and executives on regulatory risk, market access, and go-to-market readiness
Help scale Veritas’s internal playbooks, templates, and best practices

Required

7+ years of experience in product compliance, regulatory engineering, or certification for hardware and/or energy systems
Hands-on experience with EMC/EMI testing, FCC, CE marking, and product safety standards
Experience taking products from concept through certification and commercial launch
Strong understanding of how compliance impacts product architecture, design tradeoffs, and manufacturing
Comfortable working directly with labs, cert bodies, suppliers, and manufacturing partners
Ability to operate in ambiguity and move between technical detail and executive-level communication
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred

experience with energy storage, power electronics, IoT, industrial hardware, or safety-critical systems
familiarity with FEOC, IRA considerations, or regulated supply chain constraints
