Responsibilities
Utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) tools to manipulate and modify geospatial data to meet project standards, including creating accurate airfield models
Generate terrain meshes from satellite imagery and elevation data to develop realistic landscapes for simulation environments
Create and texture 3D models of environments and assets such as terrain, props, buildings, and vehicles to ensure visual fidelity
Collaborate closely with engineering and development teams to establish requirements, clarify expectations, and ensure alignment with project goals
Identify, analyze, and resolve issues related to 3D models and visual databases, including problems with normals, textures, UV maps, and rendering defects
Support the development and documentation of processes, tools, and procedures to improve team efficiency and consistency
Work under general supervision, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Qualification
Required
A minimum of two years of experience working with GIS tools, geospatial concepts, and visual database creation
Proficiency in 3D modeling software and texturing tools
A solid understanding of visual database concepts
Strong analytical skills
Attention to detail
The ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams
Preferred
Higher education credentials such as an associate's degree or higher
Experience working with industry-standard software packages
Knowledge of flight simulation standards
Knowledge of FAA airfield standards
Familiarity with industry data sources
