Transatlantic Commercial Lead
Altius Talent is representing a global freight forwarding organization seeking a Transatlantic Commercial Lead to oversee and develop its Germany–U.S. air and ocean freight activity. The role focuses on commercial strategy, supporting revenue growth, and enhancing partnerships across the transatlantic corridor.
Responsibilities
Lead commercial strategy and growth across the Germany–U.S. air and ocean trade lanes
Support U.S.-based sales teams with trade lane expertise, pricing guidance, and solution design
Develop and maintain relationships with German agents, carrier partners, and overseas stakeholders
Track market trends, rate movements, and competitive positioning across the transatlantic market
Collaborate with pricing and procurement to ensure margin-aligned, competitive offerings
Participate in customer meetings, RFQs, and trade lane–specific initiatives
Serve as the internal reference point for all Germany-related freight opportunities
Qualification
Required
Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
Background in international freight forwarding (air and/or ocean)
Strong knowledge of Germany–U.S. trade lane dynamics
Commercially minded, with experience in trade lane development, pricing support, or sales enablement
Confident communicator comfortable working cross-functionally and client-facing
Able to work from one of the company's U.S. office locations
