They are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support and help lead the delivery of complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects while mentoring junior engineers and preparing for a Project Manager role.

Responsibilities
Support the execution of water and wastewater treatment plant and pipeline projects
Manage and oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, and document control
Assist with project planning, scheduling, cost tracking, and forecasting
Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, inspectors, and subcontractors
Review plans and specifications and support constructability reviews
Track material procurement and subcontractor performance
Assist with QA/QC documentation, safety compliance, and regulatory requirements
Mentor and support Project Engineers and field staff
Participate in preconstruction planning and project start-up activities
Qualification
Required
5–10+ years of heavy civil construction experience, with a focus on water and/or wastewater projects
Experience on treatment plants, pump stations, pipelines, or related utility infrastructure
Strong familiarity with public works and municipal projects (e.g., SFPUC, EBMUD, local water districts)
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced project environment
Preferred
Experience with Procore, Primavera, or similar construction management software
