Strategy Team Leader

Responsibilities
Facilitate cross-functional teams to execute strategic initiatives commissioned by company officers
Build relationships with the business area(s) you support and foster a strong team environment
Facilitate quarterly strategy review meetings and the annual business planning process for assigned area(s)
Guide teams through business exercises (work study, business case development, decision making), problem solving methodologies and frameworks (root-cause, SWOT and Kaizen analyses)
Draft or help author project scopes, funding requests, team charters, presentations or officer communications
Develop detailed project plans and status reporting, communicate project status to key stakeholders and efficiently organize information to reduce time and effort for decision making
Ensure project deliverables are produced within established time frames, and work proactively to mitigate risk and overcome project issues
Maintain a excellent knowledge of the supermarket industry, while getting to know your assigned business area including emerging trends, opportunities, threats, and competitor strategies
Leverage the specialized skills of team members
Lead change management efforts to address emotions and behaviors resulting from project-induced changes
Plan and oversee the work of consultants and other suppliers/vendors
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in business, engineering, accounting, psychology, communications, or related analytical discipline, or equivalent work experience
at least five years of work experience in a corporate environment with at least three years of that experience in a strategic project management role
excellent verbal and written communications as well as the ability to lead without authority and negotiate with all levels of the organization
willingness to learn and quickly assimilate project background information
critical thinking, problem solving, researching and analytical skills
demonstrated ability to take responsibility for multiple projects
knowledge of large-scale organizational development and change management concepts, and communication techniques
ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner
ability to develop strong-working relationships and advise leaders
willingness to travel occasionally with overnight stays, work a variable work schedule, including extended hours and weekends as business needs require
basic knowledge of Microsoft sharepoint and Office 365
intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, powerpoint, and Excel
willingness to commit to Publix and our Mission
Preferred
graduate degree in business, engineering, accounting, psychology or related analytical discipline
seven or more years of work experience in a corporate environment with at least five years of that experience in a strategic project management role
knowledge of balanced scorecard or objectives key results (okrs) methodologies and planning processes
project management certifications such as CAPM, PMP, PGMP, or six sigma
knowledge of roles, responsibilities and interdependencies of Publix departments, and Publix corporate and business area strategies
understanding of financial planning, budgeting, project funding and statistical analysis
procurement and contract management skills
