AWS Cloud Engineer
Crew helps clients deliver change through IT project delivery and operational efficiency efforts. The AWS Cloud Engineer will assist in implementing AWS services and support senior engineers in building Infrastructure as Code while maintaining secure cloud environments.

Responsibilities
Assist in implementing and maintaining AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, Lambda) supporting insurance operations, policy administration, actuarial tools, customer portals, and data platforms
Support senior engineers in building Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation while following company governance standards
Help maintain secure, compliant cloud environments aligned with life‑insurance and financial‑services requirements (e.g., data retention, encryption, logging)
Monitor AWS resources and assist with troubleshooting performance or access issues in alignment with SLAs supporting customer service, underwriting, and claims systems
Participate in CI/CD workflows used to deploy internal applications and automation supporting business operations
Contribute to detailed documentation required for internal audits, incident reviews, continuity planning, and regulatory compliance
Work closely with security, risk, and compliance teams to ensure appropriate tagging, access controls, and resource standards are consistently applied
Continue building cloud knowledge through active mentorship and structured training paths
Qualification
Required
Foundational understanding of core AWS services or completion of relevant coursework/certification (e.g., AWS Cloud Practitioner)
Basic experience with Linux or Windows servers, particularly in secure, managed environments
Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
Understanding of core networking concepts including VPCs, subnets, routing, firewalls, and DNS
Experience using Git or similar version control tools
Strong motivation to learn cloud engineering within a regulated industry
