Program Manager

Fresno Mission is dedicated to serving youth facing significant challenges such as homelessness and trauma. They are seeking a Program Manager to oversee The Landing drop-in center, creating supportive experiences and programs for youth aged 15-25.

Responsibilities

Overseeing The Landing drop-in center
Creating meaningful experiences that support youth emotionally
Building skills and strengthening confidence in youth
Encouraging community involvement and fostering reconciliation or improved relationships with families
Creating programs that teach tools that will empower youth in their life goals
Developing programs or counseling opportunities to administer to the mental health of the people served
Working collaboratively with City Center partners as it relates to the youth being served
Performing other duties as assigned

Required

A mature walk with Jesus Christ and able to articulate Biblical beliefs and their application within the context of the Fresno Mission
All employees of Fresno Mission are an integral part of the outreach ministry of a non-denominational, evangelical ministry sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ through transformational programs that provide food, shelter, clothing, education, job training and renewal of families to the poor and addicted
All employees are Christian missionaries and are required from time to time to participate in chapel services, outreach ministries, Bible studies and prayer times
Due to the nature of these types of ministries, it is an absolute necessity that each employee possesses and maintain a Christian testimony of their faith and experience in Jesus
Must be in agreement with the Statement of Faith of the Fresno Mission
You desire to impact the lives of youth through non-traditional opportunities for them to thrive
Who understands trauma and how it affects behaviors
Someone who recognizes the value of other people regardless of their choices
Attentive with a listening ear and desire to give respect and time
Dependable and trustworthy with sensitive and personal information
Fair in situations and able to determine what is just and equitable in difficult situations
Gentle in character and able to be calm and tender when others are challenging
Ability to have difficult conversations and hold others accountable with truth and grace
Seeks out youth with positive engagement and meaningful relationship
Someone who brings excellence to everything you do
Able to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
Great at time management

Create experiences for our youth that otherwise they would not have
Work collaboratively with City Center partners as it relates to the youth being served
Create programs that teach tools that will empower youth in their life goals
Pour life into others by sharing God's love
Develop programs or counseling opportunities to administer to the mental health of the people we serve
Do cool stuff
Perform other duties as assigned

Preferred

College degree in social work, ministry, counseling, psychology or other related field is preferred
At least three years of experience working with young people
Microsoft Office and computer skills
You have the flexibility to adapt to changes and take on new responsibilities as the organization grows
You're excited to work in a fun fast-paced atmosphere where everyone takes the mission seriously, but no one takes themselves too seriously
