Responsibilities
Evaluate, develop, and implement transmission technologies including CVT, DCT, and torque converter automatic systems
Define objective performance targets that correlate with subjective drivability and customer experience metrics
Develop and execute test plans for transmission technology evaluation and benchmarking
Conduct performance assessments including shift quality, efficiency, durability, NVH, and thermal behavior
Collaborate with suppliers to evaluate and select transmission solutions that meet vehicle requirements
Support system integration with powertrain, controls, and vehicle dynamics teams
Analyze test data, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous performance improvements
Create documentation including specifications, validation reports, and engineering reviews
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering
5+ years of experience in transmission or powertrain development
Hands-on experience with CVT, DCT, or automatic transmissions
Strong understanding of drivability, shift quality, and vehicle performance metrics
Experience creating test plans, validation methods, and data analysis
Experience working with external suppliers and cross-functional teams
