Responsibilities
Collaborate with development teams to design and implement ML/AI models for SMART crack growth functions in advanced structural analysis
Develop and validate numerical examples utilizing SMART technology for benchmarking and research purposes
Build finite element models and run simulations using Ansys APDL software to support crack growth modeling projects
Apply analytical or numerical methods to process, compare, and validate simulation results
Engage with global leaders at Ansys, contributing innovative ideas and working alongside experts in the field
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a PhD in Mechanical, Civil, or Aeronautical Engineering, Applied Mechanics, or a related field
Strong background in computational mechanics and numerical analysis
In-depth understanding of finite element formulations or other numerical simulation methods
Excellent technical knowledge with practical experience in simulation and modeling
Proven ability to overcome obstacles and drive projects to completion
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative spirit across teams and geographies
