2+ years expThe Detroit Lions are looking for a summer Equipment Intern to assist with the day-to-day operations of their Equipment Department. The intern will participate in various tasks including equipment maintenance, locker room upkeep, and assisting at practice and games.

Responsibilities
Assist in Daily Flow of Laundry Process
Pick Up, Processing, and Distribution to all Locker Rooms
Equipment Maintenance
Assist with upkeep of Coaches & Staff Locker Room and toiletries counter
Assist with upkeep of Players Locker Room, Bathroom, Sauna, and Player Lounge
Assist at practice and games as needed
Assist with Practice Field setup and breakdown
Assist with issuing Player equipment and clothing
Assist with Locker Room setup and pack up at Ford Field
Team Ball Boy on gameday
Attend various teaching sessions given by full-time staff
Helmet fitting, Shoulder Pad fitting, Footwear, and Laundry
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 2 years of football experience required
Must be A.E.M.A. certified or working towards certification
Candidate must have the ability to work with a flexible schedule, including being available for major scheduled events on nights, weekends, and holidays
Must provide own transportation and housing (local candidates preferred)
Ability and willingness to learn new equipment and systems
Ability to function in high pressure situations
Ability to follow systems and safety guidelines
Preferred
Recent college graduate or some college level courses preferred
