Responsibilities
Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes
Design and deploy new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operating systems
Conduct research on software and systems products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts
Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure system-related products and services
Determine the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; develop and implement strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science or electrical engineering and/or 0-1 years equivalent work experience
Exposure to server technologies
Knowledge of server components and functions
VMware vSphere 4.x and above
Understanding of server administration and configuration
Good understanding of Active Directory
Understanding of server storage technologies
Understanding and basic administration of storage provisioning
Good understanding of basic networking
Preferred
Certifications: Server+, Security+, or MCTS not required, but a plus
