Configure, maintain, and optimize Blackbaud applications
Manage user accounts, permissions, roles, and security settings
Maintain system documentation, configuration records, and knowledge of data dictionaries
Proficiency in using data manipulation tools to manipulate and retrieve data
Strong problem-solving skills to identify, diagnose and rectify any database issues that arise, ensuring minimal disruption to system services
Communication skills to effectively liaise with team members, other IT staff, and non-technical staff, explaining complex database concepts in understandable terms
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritizing as necessary to meet deadlines and business requirements
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, as well as independently when required
Strong understanding of data privacy standards and security protocols to protect sensitive information to ensure accuracy, consistency, and cleanliness of operational data
Develop and enforce data entry standards and governance policies
Perform regular data audits, deduplication, and quality checks
Manage global changes, imports, exports, and batch processing
Build and maintain dashboards, queries, and custom reports for fundraising, finance, and leadership teams
Translate business needs into actionable reporting solutions
Support data-driven decision-making across the organization
Serve as the primary point of contact for Blackbaud-related questions and troubleshooting
Train staff on system functionality, workflows, and best practices
Develop user guides, SOPs, and training materials
Manage integrations between Blackbaud and third-party systems (email marketing, payment processors, event platforms, etc.)
Collaborate with IT, vendors, and consultants to resolve technical issues
Support API-based workflows and data exchanges when applicable
Partner with admissions, fundraising, finance, and functional teams to improve workflows and leverage system capabilities
Recommend enhancements that increase efficiency and data utilization
Monitor industry trends and Blackbaud product updates to guide long-term planning
Qualification
Required
Minimum of an associate degree
5+ years of broad/ diverse background and experience in business and data analysis
Proficiency with queries, exports, imports, and reporting tools
Physically able to perform assigned duties
Experience administering Blackbaud systems suite, specifically Education Management
Familiarity with APIs, SQL, and data integration tools
Knowledge of K–12 school operations, admissions, learning management systems, and record retention systems
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain high data accuracy
