Responsibilities
Engineering resources under this contract will be considered Owner’s Engineers
Owner’s Engineer is expected to conduct quality control auditing services for design packages provided to client by services providers
Owner’s Engineers work directly for the owner
Taking direction and reporting to owner management and contributors. Owner’s Engineers protect the company’s interests and operate in the best interest of the company
Expected to ensure quality and standards are met for engineering design packages
Expected to leverage their experience to maintain quality, improve engineering procedures and processes, and enrich the team they support
Expected to collaborate with internal stakeholders, internal/external contractors, and any third-party stakeholders as needed to issue designs and complete projects
Responsible for the safety, quality, standards and electric code adherence, as well as the constructability of any design packages reviewed and approved
Required to be on-site, in-office and in the field, as needed to complete work and execute projects
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred) or equivalent relevant experience
15+ years experience developing and reviewing engineering design packages for utility or infrastructure projects
Specific experience in distribution line design
PE License
Working knowledge of applicable electric codes, safety standards, and utility design standards
Proven ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders, external contractors, and third-party partners
Experience ensuring design quality, constructability, and adherence to established engineering procedures
Strong communication skills with the ability to support and mentor team members
Ability and willingness to work on-site, in office, and in the field as project needs require
