Mid LevelKCI, LLC is seeking an experienced IT/OT Network & Automation Engineer to support and maintain a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring secure, reliable, and high-availability plant operations by managing both Enterprise IT Networking and Industrial OT systems.

Responsibilities
Configure, deploy, and support Cisco enterprise switches and Access Points
Design and maintain: VLANs, trunks, routing
Network segmentation for IT/OT environments
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot outages
Apply cybersecurity best practices in a manufacturing environment
Support Rockwell Automation environments
Configure and manage Stratix industrial switches
Work with Ethernet/IP, CIP, and industrial protocols
Support plant floor networks including: PLCs, HMIs, Industrial devices, QoS, ACLs, and basic firewall rules
Understand and maintain cell/area zone architecture
Coordinate with controls engineers and external integrators
Troubleshoot network or system issues impacting production
Act as the on-site technical escalation point for plant IT/OT issues
Maintain documentation of network and automation configurations
Participate in system upgrades, expansions, and plant projects
Ensure changes do not disrupt production operations
Collaborate with corporate IT and plant leadership
Qualification
Required
Proven experience configuring Cisco switches and Access Points
Must be Cisco CCNA certified (or higher)
Experience supporting Rockwell Automation environments
Hands-on experience with Stratix switches
Strong understanding of IT/OT network segmentation
Manufacturing or industrial environment experience
Ability to work independently on-site
Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills
Preferred
Experience with Studio 5000
Industrial cybersecurity standards (ISA/IEC 62443)
Plant network architecture design
Prior work in a 24/7 or production-critical environment
Experience working with external system integrators
