Responsibilities
Develop new features using object-oriented programming in a state-of-the-art Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) software application based on the Finite Element Method (FEA)
Collaborate with software developers throughout the design, implementation, and verification processes
Investigate and resolve defects in production code to enhance software reliability
Develop and execute unit tests for newly developed features
Analyze results and contribute to improving the usability and performance of the software
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical major, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
Must be enrolled in a full-time degree program and returning to university after completion of the internship
Strong and demonstrable knowledge of C++ and object-oriented programming principles
Deep understanding of programming concepts such as threading, memory management, and code complexity (space and speed)
Sharp and tenacious problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Team-oriented, responsible, and highly motivated
Experience debugging code using IDEs such as Visual Studio Code, Eclipse, PyCharm, or similar
Preferred
Knowledge of FEA or similar computational techniques
Familiarity with Linux operating systems and development tools (e.g., gdb, gcc)
Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, software configuration management tools (e.g., GIT), Microsoft Technologies (.NET Framework, COM, ATL), and agile software development practices
